About This Project
Imagin8v Park is a high-fidelity Figma click-and-play simulation and low-barrier-to-entry sandbox designed to empower middle/high school students and community members in the civic planning process. It functions as a Digital Empathy Engine, using game-based learning to encourage participation and shaping more informed, equitable housing policies for communities.

A question posed by our collaborators that sparked our entire ideation process.
The Challenge
The project was a requirement for the course Advance Design Thinking for Transformation, specifically tackling the wicked problem of the housing crisis. The challenge was to create an accessible design solution that could transform the complex issue of housing policy into a tangible, interactive experience that encourages engagement and critical thinking.
The Solution
Leveraging our high-fidelity Figma prototype as a foundation, we plan to design and develop an interactive, scenario-based simulation that will enable users to digitally visualize and customize community spaces while learning about relevant civic and housing topics.
A high-fidelity, polished, and fully interactive "click-and-play" prototype ready for partner handoff and deployment. The project established a clear roadmap, validating the model through precedents and identifying critical next steps and partnerships necessary for future deployment.
The Outcome
The Story
The player starts in a Dystopian present of our neighborhood, where they are trying to figure out what went wrong to cause the neighborhood to lack community and vibrancy.
The player is then sent back in time, where we meet Cherry and Barry- our guides, both of whom have a passion for helping others and a vision for a lively community. The player, with the help of Cherry and Barry, works through tasks that involve community engagement and improvement to the neighborhood. By completing these tasks and filling a progress bar, the player is able to travel back to the present, where, because of the descisions made in the past, the community is now thriving.
